When Sia married Amar in 1998, she was 21 years old. She never imagined back then that she would be a widow by the age of 26 and that she had to take care of her 9-month-old baby all alone.
When she was pregnant, Amar started talking about life insurance. Even the topic of life insurance was scary for her. She was pregnant with their yet-to-be-born child, and the last thing she wanted to think about was death.
Amar passed away in March when their baby girl was just 7 months old.
Sia remembers every bit of how she lost the love of her life. She remembered how she lost everything in a second in an accident while they were returning from their weekend getaway.
Sia was saved but she lost Amar in that car accident.
Sia’s story is a reminder that no matter your age, a term plan is essential.
Sia didn’t think about a term plan back then but fortunately, her husband Amar thought about it. How smartly Amar had chosen a term plan called Edelweiss Tokio Life Zindagi Plus which covered not only him but also his wife, Sia who was a housewife. After his demise, the life cover will start in Sia’s name. This will be 50% of the life cover, up to an amount of Rs. 1cr. Sia didn’t have to pay any future premiums and her nominee that is their child will get the sum assured in case an unfortunate event of death occurs to Sia.
Term plans purchased at an early age will be the best financial decision that will keep you worry-free for the rest of your life. It will help you to attain bigger financial goals in your life. It is always better to be secure your family’s future now at the right time rather than being sorry later!
